Local Government Law and Land Use Attorney
Meyer, Suozzi, English & Klein, P. C. is looking for a Local Government Law and Land Use Attorney with a minimum of two years’ relevant experience. The successful candidate will be able to take on a significant and independent role, work closely with the Practice Group Chair, and have the opportunity to work in a hybrid model.
Qualifications:
- Experience in local government operations and administration, particularly with reference to villages on Long Island
- Experience in Open Meetings Law, FOIL, SEQRA and land use regulation
- Experience in local government contracts and procurement
- Drafting legislation and opinions
- Excellent analytical, verbal, and written communication skills
- Proven ability to attract and retain public and private sector clients
- Article 78 and Declaratory Judgment experience a plus
- Availability to attend local government meetings, including evenings
