2023 Scholarship Presented

Judge Bernard S. Meyer Scholarship presented to Morgan Hylton-Farrington

Since 2004, in collaboration with The New York Bar Foundation, Meyer Suozzi has been awarding second-year law students with the Judge Bernard S. Meyer Scholarship. Congratulations to this year’s recipient Morgan Hylton-Farrington.

In accepting the award, Mrs. Hylton-Farrington stated: “As a future public defender, I am especially honored to receive an award named for a jurist who took prisoner’s rights so seriously. Thank you for supporting the written advocacy and career aspirations of the next generation of lawyers!”

About Hon. Bernard S. Meyer

Judge Meyer practiced law in Maryland, Washington, D.C, and New York until his election in 1958 as a Justice of the New York State Supreme Court, Nassau County, where he served for 14 years. Judge Meyer was an Associate Judge of the New York Court of Appeals from 1979-1986 and practiced with Meyer Suozzi from 1987 through 2005. The Judge Bernard S. Meyer Scholarship was established in 2004 to honor his memory and to serve New York State’s legal profession.
