USA Today quoted Paul Millus in an article titled “Mary Meeker: No discrimination at Kleiner Perkins.” The article, published March 16th, discusses a Silicon Valley gender discrimination trial involving Ellen Pao, a former partner at Silicon Valley’s premier venture capital firm Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers. Mary Meeker, Partner at Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, took the stand in the Ellen Pao trial and said she never saw any gender discrimination at the firm.
The article stated: “'The expert's testimony is utter nonsense,' said Paul Millus, an employment litigator with the law firm of Meyer Suozzi in Garden City, N.Y.
'If she believes that once a complainant makes a general statement that women are treated differently than men, then this requires a wholesale audit of evaluations, salary and the like along racial lines, that would be absurd. No employer would be required or even think about doing that. An investigator deals with the precise complaints of the complainant. How she was treated is in issue,' he said.”
