A. Thomas Levin Presents, "Local Government Issues"

Local Government and Land Use
Event Date: April 10, 2011
Event Time: 3:00 PM
Topic: The Establishment or Expansion of Religious Uses
Venue: First United Methodist Church

On April 10th, A. Thomas Levin is presenting a program on what congregations need to know about the law on Sunday, April 10, at 3:00 at 1st United Methodist Church in Amityville.

Several local mosques have recently been embroiled in local battles with building inspectors, zoning boards, and planning councils.

Churches, synagogues, and other houses of worship also often run into difficulties with local laws and regulation governing their buildings and property.

The Long Island Council of Churches is presenting a program

There will be a Q&A at the program's end.

The church is located at 25 Broadway (the east side of Route 110), half a block north of Montauk Highway/Route 27A. The parking lot is on the west side of Broadway.

The meeting will take place upstairs in Binkley Hall, and there will be signs pointing the way.

Rev. Dr. Louise Stowe-Johns will greet attendees and there is no cost to attend.
