Judge Ira Warshawsky Participates on Panel at the NYSBA Commercial and Federal Litigation Section

Judge Ira Warshawsky will participate on the panel for Alternative Discovery Resolution at the New York State Bar Association’s Commercial and Federal Litigation Section Spring Meeting. Over the past few years, ESI has magnified the costs of discovery – making the resolution of discovery disputes a key driver in how parties pursue their claims. At the same time, the complexity and volume of motion practice in business cases has grown, requiring attention from judges and their staff. To help ensure a full and fair hearing of discovery disputes, courts and parties are increasingly turning to special masters, referees and mediators. This panel will explore the various alternatives available to litigants and the courts and how and when each approach can be most effective in both Commercial Division and federal court litigation.
