A. Thomas Levin Presents at New York Government Finance Officers Association Meeting

On March 25, 2010, Member, A. Thomas Levin, gave a presentation at the Annual meeting of the New York Government Finance Officers Association, in Albany, on the subject of "Consolidation and Dissolution of Local Governments". Last year, the State adopted a law to facilitate the process of consolidation or dissolving local governments, over the protests of local governments. The law became effective on March 21st, and Mr. Levin was invited to speak on this at the Long Island Chapter of the NYS GFOA last fall, and again at the annual statewide meeting.
