Based in Garden City, Thomas Slome chairs the law firm’s bankruptcy practice in addition to co-chairing the corporate finance practice. Slome represents banks, factors, equipment lessors, private equity funds, landlords and developers in various bankruptcy matters, including corporate reorganization, creditors’ rights, litigation and out-of-court debt restructuring. He has represented parties involved in many notable bankruptcy cases, including A&P, American Airlines, Borders, Blockbuster, Enron, Hostess and Lehman Brothers. The New York City Bar Association recently appointed him to a three-year term as chairman of its bankruptcy and corporate reorganization committee.
