Meyer Suozzi is excited to announce that Deanne Braveman, an attorney with the firm’s Government Relations practice and Albany Law School of Union University Alum, has been selected by City & State as one of their Albany Rising Stars: 40 under 40. The list of honorees, announced on May 29th, is chosen annually and recognizes the next generation of political leaders in Albany.
The editorial staff of City & State selects 40 honorees based on a collection of candidates submitted by readers. The selection criteria is based on candidates under 40 who have already distinguished themselves in the eyes of their colleagues, and who are on their way to amassing many more noteworthy accomplishments in the future.
“When I was informed of this impressive honor, I wasn’t at all surprised,” said Richard Winsten, Co-Chair of the firm’s Government Relations practice. “Deanne is dedicated, passionate and truly deserving of this achievement. If she is this talented and effective now, imagine how successful she will be when she is top 50 under 50.”
At Meyer Suozzi, Braveman counsels an array of businesses, not-for-profits and labor unions on the intricacies of government contracting, regulation and procurement. She also represents clients before federal governmental agencies, as well as the New York state governor’s office, state agencies, and the state legislature. Prior to joining Meyer Suozzi, she was a Legislative Fellow for the Honorable Joseph E. Robach, 56th Senate District of the State of New York, where she conducted research for current and future legislation, speaking events, and Senate sessions. She also assisted constituents with questions about legislation, attended public events on behalf of and with Senator Robach, and acted as a Representative at meetings of Great Lakes Legislators.
