On October 23rd, Abraham Krieger acted as a judge at the St. John’s University School of Law and the Polestino Trial Advocacy Institute’s 12th Annual Peter J. Johnson ‘49 National Civil Rights Trial Competition. As the only national civil rights trial competition in the country, the four-day Peter James Johnson Competition offers law students from up to 16 law schools throughout the country an opportunity to try a civil rights case in an actual courtroom setting before prominent jurists and trial attorneys. The championship team in this year’s competition was South Texas College of Law. Second place went to Quinnipiac University School of Law.
