Professional Responsiblity
The Professional Responsibility Practice Group advises and represents attorneys, law firms, corporate counsel, and members of the judiciary on issues concerning disciplinary proceedings, ethics counseling, law firm dissolutions, partnership disputes, and more. Ever conscience of the sensitivity of disciplinary matters, and the effect such misconduct claims can have on a professional’s career, we seek to resolve these matters quickly and confidentially. To avoid or minimize legal exposure our attorneys also work with clients to identify potential areas of conflict and clarify ethical issues. We have substantial experience in trial proceedings, law firm structuring, and helping lawyers and judges defuse troublesome situations, while guiding and counseling them to anticipate and avoid problems.

With a well-known and respected group of trial attorneys, former judges and advisors, the attorneys in this group include a former Associate Justice of the Appellate Division, Second Department, two former Justices of the Supreme Court of the State of New York, two former Nassau County Assistant District Attorneys, a Past President of the New York State Bar Association, Past President of the Nassau County Bar Association, and Editor of the "Bench Book for Trial Judges" and a member of the Disciplinary Committee for the Tenth Judicial District.
