The firm represents clients on regulatory matters involving hazardous waste management, recycling and waste remediation, air and water quality, wetlands management, the handling and disposal of hospital and infectious waste, underground and aboveground storage tanks, and various other environmental issues. With the assistance of the firm's Government Relations practice, our attorneys and consultants monitor new regulations and legislation as they develop in New York state and Washington, DC. enabling us to best advise our clients on new legislation and to help shape laws that affect our clients' business.

Our Environmental Law practice handles a wide variety of permitting and enforcement matters, including municipal waste disposal, sewage facilities planning, wastewater and industrial waste matters, air quality management matters, underground storage tank permitting and compliance, wetlands preservation, and wastewater toxics evaluation issues. In addition, we have experience in negotiating administrative consent orders and agreements with NYSDEC, NYCDEP and the EPA.

When clients engage in the purchase and sale of businesses and real estate, our Environmental Law practice works closely with the firm's Corporate, Tax Certiorari & Condemnation and Real Estate attorneys to identify environmental issues through assessments and audits, enabling us to develop legal and technical solutions to these issues. We also assist clients with permitting, and coordinating necessary remediation efforts.
