In 1995, she co-authored an article entitled “Defective Grantor Trusts: Gift Tax Consequences of Payment of Income Tax Liability by Grantor”, 20 Tax Mgmt. Est., Gifts & Tr. J. 183 (Sept./Oct. 1995) and in the fall of 2010, she also co-authored an article for the NYSBA Elder Law Section entitled “Grantor Retained Annuity Trusts: An Estate Planning Golden Opportunity” (Fall 2010, Vol. 20, No. 4).

Professional Affiliations

Ms. Montesano is a member of the New York State Bar Association, Trusts and Estates Law Section. She is also a member of the Suffolk County Bar Association and the Columbian Lawyers Association. In August 2010, she was appointed to serve as a Guardian ad Litem in Nassau and Suffolk Counties.
