Irwin Bluestein
Irwin Bluestein has been a Member of Meyer, Suozzi, English & Klein, P.C.'s Labor and Employment Law groups since 1999. He represents local, intermediate, and international labor organizations and related employee benefit funds in both the public and private sectors. Among his clients are unions and employee benefit funds in health care, higher education, and the newspaper, magazine, and printing industries. Mr. Bluestein's representation extends to all matters of concern to union clients, including litigation, arbitration, collective bargaining, internal union elections and other internal union proceedings, as well as proceedings before the National Labor Relations Board and other federal and state administrative agencies. He also handles employee benefit fund matters, representing Taft-Hartley employee benefit funds in all matters of concern to them, including advising their administrators and trustees on fiduciary and compliance issues, and representing them in withdrawal liability, contribution delinquency, and other litigation. Mr. Bluestein is rated “AV Preeminent” by Martindale-Hubbell, the highest level of professional excellence. He is listed in New York Super Lawyers and Best Lawyers in America.
Before joining Meyer, Suozzi, English & Klein, P.C., Mr. Bluestein was a member of Vladeck, Waldman, Elias & Engelhard, P.C. He is a frequent speaker on labor law subjects and has written articles on labor law for a number of publications.
