Richard G. Satin is a Member of the Corporate Law and Corporate Finance practice groups in the Garden City, Long Island and New York City, NY offices of Meyer, Suozzi, English & Klein, P.C. Mr. Satin has extensive experience representing corporate issuers, private equity portfolio companies and investors in public and private debt and equity offerings, mergers and acquisitions, bridge and loan commitments, restricted securities and other securities law transactions. His clients range from early emerging growth/early stage development companies to complex multi-national diversified manufacturers, across a broad range of industries, including healthcare, manufacturing and industrials, telecommunications and technology.
Professional Profile
Prior to joining Meyer, Suozzi, Mr. Satin was Of Counsel to Ruskin, Moscou, Faltischek, P.C., where he served as a member of the Corporate & Securities Department and co-chaired the firm’s Medical Device practice group. Before that, Mr. Satin was Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary of Medical Action Industries Inc. Mr. Satin served as the chief legal officer of the company and was responsible for all aspects of Medical Action’s legal affairs around the world. In addition, from 1994 to 2008, Mr. Satin served as Medical Action’s Principal Financial Officer.

Mr. Satin is a member of the Nassau County Bar Association, a member of the Corporate Law and Matrimonial Law sections of the Suffolk County Bar Association and is a member of the New York State Bar Association.
Community Involvement
Active in civic and charitable pursuits, Mr. Satin is counsel to the Fast Forward Fund, which generates social investment partnerships for projects led by young visionaries, supporting youth directed social enterprise for global change. Mr. Satin serves on the Board of Directors of The Ronald McDonald House of Long Island. He is also an active participant in the pro bono programs of the Nassau/Suffolk Law Services Committee, Inc. Mr. Satin was selected as one of the 2010 Pro Bono Attorneys of the Year by Touro Law School and was a 2011 Honoree of the Outreach House, a premier provider of adolescent residential treatment for drug and alcohol abuse.

Mr. Satin recently published an article entitled “Say in Pay…and Beyond” and was a panelist in a CLE/CPE seminar “Hot Topics in Securities Law: A Private Roundtable for Public Companies and Their Advisors.”

Mr. Satin is admitted to practice law in New York State and before the United States Supreme Court and the United States District Court for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York.
