Professional Profile
Before joining Meyer Suozzi, Ms. Klotz was a Legal Assistant to an attorney, where she conducted legal research; drafted wills, health care proxies, living wills, contracts, riders, closing statements, and motions; under attorney supervision she conducted client interviews; attended closings; and submitted documents in courts. In the Spring of 2010 Ms. Klotz was an intern at the U.S. Attorney’s Office where she conducted legal research; drafted appellate briefs and memoranda; performed jury selection; prepared oral arguments; attended hearings, trials, proffers, and conferences. In the Fall of 2009, Ms. Klotz was an intern to Honorable Denis Hurley, United States District Court, where she conducted legal research and drafted opinions; observed hearings, trials, and conferences; discussed the merits of cases and effectiveness of written presentations and oval advocacy techniques.
Education
Ms. Klotz received her J.D., summa cum laude, in May 2010 from Touro College, where she was the Valedictorian, as well as the Articles Editor for the Touro Law Review from 2009-2010. During this time, Ms. Klotz was a Faculty Fellow as well as a member of the Moot Court Honor Society from 2007-2010, in addition to being on the Dean’s List from 2007-2010. Ms. Klotz also received her M.S. in May 1999 from Dowling College, where she was a member of Kappa Delta Pi, International Honor Society in Education; and Kappa Gamma Pi, National Honor Society. In addition, Ms. Klotz received her B.S. in 1996 from St. Joseph’s College, magna cum laude, in Mathematics and Math/Computer Science.
