Melanie Hendry Receives Touro Law Center's 2009 Emerging Leader Award
MSEK\'s Newest Rising Star Shines Bright

Melanie D. Hendry, an Associate in the Litigation and Dispute Resolution department of the law firm of Meyer, Suozzi, English and Klein, P.C. (Garden City, NY), was awarded the 2009 Emerging Leader Award from Touro College’s Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center. The award is presented annually to a Touro Law Center graduate who has made exceptional strides in his or her profession and has taken great initiative during and after law school.

Ms. Hendry was honored with her presentation during the Touro Winter Alumni reception held at the New York Marriot Marquis during the New York State Bar Association’s annual meeting held in January, 2009.  (Ms. Hendry is seen in the photo being presented the award by Touro's Dean Lawrence Raful)

Prior to joining the firm as an Associate in September 2004, Ms. Hendry had served as a law clerk to the firm since May 2003. Ms. Hendry’s practice includes all facets of state and federal civil litigation, a well as arbitration, involving complex commercial disputes, contracts, employment, partnership and corporate disputes, bankruptcy, restrictive covenants, personal injury, trade secrets, intellectual property, and trusts and estates.
