Melanie Hendry Takes the Lead in Diversity Awareness March 6, 2009

Melanie D. Hendry, an Associate in the Litigation and Dispute Resolution department of the law firm of Meyer, Suozzi, English and Klein, P.C. (Garden City, NY), served as a panelist in the Suffolk County Bar Association's (Hauppauge, NY) Diversity Symposium.
Exploring methods for attracting and retaining diversity in the legal field, Ms. Hendry spoke about the importance of increasing diversity in legal employment, in education, and in the judiciary. Other event participants included Suffolk County Attorney Christine Malafi; Hon. George Bundy Smith (Retired); Associate Judge of the Court of Appeals, Dean Lawrence Raful; Touro Law Center; and other distinguished attorneys from academia and the public and private sectors.
Prior to joining the firm as an Associate in September 2004, Ms. Hendry had served as a law clerk to the firm since May 2003.
