Thomas R. Slome, a member of Meyer, Suozzi, English & Klein, P.C. and Chair of the firm’s Bankruptcy Practice and Co-Chair of its Corporate Finance Practice, has been selected as one of Long Island Pulse Magazine’s Top Ten Legal Eagles. Slome represents a wide variety of companies in all aspects of bankruptcy and debt restructuring, including corporate reorganization, bankruptcy related litigation, creditors’ rights, and out of court work-outs. His clients include banks, factors, equipment lessors, private equity funds, landlords and developers, and his work spans a wide array of industries, including energy, telecommunications, finance, real estate, electronics, computers, fashion, furniture and healthcare. Slome has served regularly as a bankruptcy court-appointed mediator and as an examiner, and is the Chair of The New York City Bar Association’s Bankruptcy and Corporate Reorganization Committee, as well as the Chair of the Chapter 11 Lawyers’ Advisory Committee of the Eastern District of New York Bankruptcy Court. He is a Board Member of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Long Island and holds the officer position of Treasurer, and is Chair of its Board Nominating Committee.
