Meyer Suozzi partners Kevin Schlosser and Robert Zausmer presented a Continuing Legal Education program to the Theodore Roosevelt American Inn of Court at the Nassau County Bar Association on April 19, 2010. The program, entitled “Preliminary Injunctions: Practical Insights from the Perspectives of the Client, Advocate and Judiciary,” explored the practical, strategic issues involved in seeking and opposing applications for preliminary injunctions . Other presenters on the panel were the Hon. Timothy Driscoll, Justice of the Supreme Court of the State of New York, Nassau County, Commercial Division, Steven Leventhal, Michele Raphael, Christine Price and Henry Nguyen.

Kevin Schlosser is a Member and the Chair of the Litigation and Dispute Resolution practice at Meyer, Suozzi, English & Klein, P.C. Mr. Schlosser has been involved in all aspects of state and federal litigation in a broad range of cases and arbitrations, including complex commercial disputes, business torts, professional liability and malpractice claims, intellectual property, construction law, commercial real estate and landlord-tenant disputes, corporate and partnership disputes, ERISA, health law, Federal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act class actions, employment and restrictive covenants, products liability, insurance claims and defense, including disability insurance claims and the prosecution and defense of other tort-related claims. A proven appellate lawyer, he is also an accomplished trial attorney, whose victories include million-dollar recoveries and a record-breaking jury verdict. Mr. Schlosser is admitted to the United States Supreme Court, the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit, the United States District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Wisconsin and the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan.

Robert N. Zausmer is a Member of the firm focusing his practice on all aspects of commercial civil litigation and criminal law, including motion practice, trials and appeals. Mr. Zausmer has extensive experience in cases involving non-competition and restrictive covenants in employment contracts; shareholder disputes; dissolution of closely-held corporations; representation of attorneys in disciplinary proceedings; and representation of defendants in criminal cases. Mr. Zausmer served as Assistant District Attorney in the Nassau County District Attorney’s Office from 1973 until 1979. Mr. Zausmer is admitted to practice law in New York State and before the United States District Court for the Eastern and Southern Districts, and before the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit. He is rated “AV” by Martindale-Hubbell, the highest level in professional excellence and ethics.
