On January 12th, Irwin Bluestein will be on panel at the Labor and Employment Law Program at Cornell University. The topic of this program is, “The Impact of the Trump Administration
on Labor and Employment Law.”
President-elect Trump has indicated his choice of Andrew Puzder as Secretary of Labor, providing a window into the direction that the incoming administration is moving with respect to labor and employment law. Appointments to the NLRB and the EEOC will follow. While there are not yet any changes to legislation, administrative regulations, or Executive orders, it is clear that the landscape of labor and employment law could look very different in the near future. What Obama initiatives can he roll back? Will we see changes on the state and local level impacting the Trump agenda? Unions and civil rights groups are gearing up for a response.
